Domilitia Fuentes, known as Tilona, passed away this Wednesday, March 15, at the age of 77 after suffering a long illness. Tilona was one of the owners of the emblematic decoration store in Arrecife, Pallarés y Martín.
Tilona will be remembered for her joy and her participation in the parranda de los Buches, a pioneer in being one of the first women to break into this traditionally male collective. Its president, Juan Antonio Machado, regrets her death.
Located on Manolo Millares street, the Pallarés y Martín store is one of the oldest in the capital of Lanzarote, open since 1969. It is a family business specializing in the sale of blinds, shades, upholstery and curtains on the island.
Tilona leaves behind her husband, Julián Martín Rodríguez, her children Ayose and Jonás Martín Fuentes, as well as her daughter-in-law and her three grandchildren. The wake will take place at the Alianza Canaria funeral home. In addition, the farewell will take place this Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in the church of San Ginés. The burial will then take place in the San Román cemetery.
