The Local Police of Arrecife arrested last October 31 three people for participating in a brawl, throwing stones and glass bottles, causing fear to several pedestrians, damage to public and private property and paralyzing business activity momentarily.
The events happened around 11:00 a.m., next to a commercial establishment in the La Vega neighborhood, when for unknown reasons, five young people, according to witnesses, started a brawl throwing dangerous objects, so they notified the Local Police of Arrecife. Upon arriving at the scene, they began to carry out the appropriate procedures to clarify the facts, locating three of the five people who had participated in the brawl.
According to the Local Police, several witnesses recognized the participants in the brawl and stated before the agents, "in an evident state of nervousness, that during the brawl and the throwing of objects they had to take shelter because they feared for their physical integrity and that of several people who were in the establishment".
Finally, the Local Police of Arrecife arrested three people for an alleged crime of public disorder, being placed at the disposal of the judicial authority in the capital of Lanzarote.
From the City Council they assure that the police force of the capital is reinforcing its presence using undercover cars, of recent acquisition.
