This is how the man who abandoned his car and fled from the police was arrested: "He fell inside a corral"

A resident of Teseguite, who noticed the chase, ran out in flip-flops after the fugitive

Reckless driving arrest

A resident of Teseguite helped on May 7 to arrest a man who was fleeing from agents of the Local Police of Arrecife after escaping from his car. The fugitive will be tried for reckless driving and disobedience, and he also had no ITV or driver's license.

In a video to which La Voz has had access, it can be seen how after a police chase where agents were following the driver of a white Nissan Patrol, the driver of the vehicle left the car at the Las Nieves intersection and continued running. Around 2:00 p.m., the fugitive appeared running around a house in Teseguite and the dogs of one of the houses in the area began to bark. Behind him was an agent of the Local Police carrying the vest and regulation weapons.

Alerted by the barking, two neighbors, a man and a woman, went out to see what was happening. When they realized that a police officer was chasing a citizen, the man offered to help him and ran after him. "I'll give you a hand," shouted the neighbor who was running out of his house in flip-flops. "This individual was coming from Arrecife, had two accidents and fled, after overturning the car in the Vega de la Villa he came running here and the agents were coming behind," this neighbor narrates in an audio.

"He was exhausted, otherwise I wouldn't catch him, I even lost my flip-flops, there in Isabel's house he fell inside a corral and I got him, otherwise I wouldn't catch him," the neighbor narrates in an audio. After the chase and being intercepted by this neighbor, he was arrested by agents of the Local Canarian Police.
