The Local Police of Arrecife arrested a man on the afternoon of Sunday, May 7, for disobedience, reckless driving and not possessing a driver's license.
The car was traveling on the island at an unrecommended speed and was surprised by the Local Police of Arrecife. Upon noticing the police presence, he disobeyed the agents' instructions and fled.
At that moment, a chase began along the island's roads, first in a vehicle until he lost control of the SUV and later running several kilometers until he was intercepted in the area near Las Nieves, thanks to the help and collaboration of citizens.
The driver is being investigated for disobedience, reckless driving and lacking a driver's license, and the proceedings have been placed at the disposal of the court.
