The National Police has saved the life of a woman who lost control of her vehicle after suffering a seizure while driving in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The National Police reported this Wednesday in a statement that while the agents were carrying out citizen security work in the capital of Tenerife, they were able to hear, from the other side of the road, the shouts of several citizens asking for an ambulance.
After that, they quickly hurried to the place from which the voices came, observing at this moment how a vehicle circulated without control on the road, finding a woman convulsing at the wheel, without showing signs of consciousness.
While the vehicle continued to circulate out of control, the agents began to hit its window to try to get the driver to react, this action being unsuccessful.
It was at this moment when they tried to open a door or glass to be able to access the interior of the vehicle and, after not achieving it in this way, they hit the rear left window to break it, the note adds.
Once they managed to break the window, one of the agents was able to access the interior of the vehicle and press the electric handbrake, as well as open the driver's door, managing to get the victim out of the car and put her on the ground in a safe position until the arrival of the health services, who transferred her to the Hospital de la Candelaria.
According to the National Police, thanks to the rapid and heroic action of the agents, the woman managed to save her life and no physical or material damage occurred to third parties.
