Lánzate Lgtbi+ of the Canary Islands has denounced the act of vandalism that has been committed against a bench that was installed less than a month ago in Famara to give visibility to this group, and that has appeared destroyed. "It was painted and placed by the City Council itself for the celebration of the Teguise Live festival," explains the association, which recalls that this festival vindicates the rights of the LGTBI+ collective.

"The uncivil people who carry out this type of act attack the reality of the LGTBI collective on our island. No more Lgtbiphobia, enough of aggressions towards the visibility of the LGTBI+ collective,” demanded the president of Lánzate, Nahúm Cabrera.

From the association they condemn this action "strongly because it is not a simple urban furniture, but a reality that represents people and is being highly questioned by some parts of today's society."

In addition, it asks that "the full weight of the law" fall on the person or persons responsible for this act and that "any type of aggression be condemned."

They also emphasize that the association itself has the comprehensive care service called Línea Arcoiris (928806611), where people who need it can make any type of query or request for help, and also remember the emergency telephone numbers 112 and 016 for attention to women.
