The woman who died after being run over by a bus in Costa Teguise was a British pensioner who was on vacation on the island. This was reported by the United Kingdom newspaper Daily Mirror.
According to this publication, the victim was 83 years old. In addition, as reported by La Voz, after being run over at 9.10 p.m. on Caldera Taburiente street in the coastal town, she was transferred in serious condition to the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital.
Local Police officers and two ambulances, one medicalized and one basic life support, participated in the care. However, the woman had serious multiple injuries and died in the hospital.
Thus, a police investigation is trying to clarify the circumstances of the accident and analyzes the condition of the bus, whether the driver complied with the speed limit, and with the rest schedules, as well as whether the victim was crossing at a pedestrian crossing.
