The strong wind that lashes the island of La Graciosa has left gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour in the early hours of this Tuesday. This is reported by the observation data of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), published on its website.
The ventoral has left several incidents on the eighth island and has required the presence of the Firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote. Thus, the image sent to us by one of the readers of La Voz shows how the jable has blocked the windows of some houses in La Graciosa due to the wind.
One of the most peculiar characteristics of the island is its active dune system that covers a good part of its surface and the dunes move with the wind. Together with the dune system, the waves have lashed the port of Caleta de Sebo with force, where the ferries have had to suspend some crossings with Órzola.
