The Scottish tourist who headbutted a Civil Guard agent in Lanzarote left for his country on the same day that he missed a court summons for assaulting the authority agent. This is what La Voz has learned.

The events date back to Friday, March 22, when a plane landed in Lanzarote after departing from the city of Glasgow, in Scotland. At that time, the flight crew contacted the Civil Guard because one of the passengers was "disturbing the peace".

When the agents arrived at the aircraft and asked the passenger, of British nationality, for his identification, he headbutted one of the police officers in the face and knocked him to the ground. The civil guard has been on medical leave ever since. Meanwhile, the tourist was transferred to the hospital, under police custody.

That same Sunday they were summoned to the Arrecife Courts for a quick trial. However, the tourist did not appear and the Unified Association of the Civil Guard (AUGC) union in Las Palmas denounced that it is not known who gave the order to release him. Now, according to what this editorial staff has learned, the tourist took a Ryanair plane on the same day of the court summons at 8:10 in the morning to London.
