National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested M.K., 23 years old and of Moroccan nationality, as the alleged perpetrator of a theft. The arrested man has 32 police records for property crimes, mostly burglaries and robberies with violence.

The events unfolded after a woman, in charge of a hypermarket in Arrecife, called the 091 telephone number, reporting that security personnel had "detained" an individual who "left the store without paying for several products", explains the National Police.

According to the police force, the now arrested man ignored the security guard's instructions and "fled the scene", until he was reached by the hypermarket staff, who detained him until the arrival of the police officers, who arrested him as the alleged perpetrator of a theft.

The recovered products were returned to the commercial establishment, which valued them at 109 euros. Once the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by members of the Arrecife Police Station.
