A helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Canary Islands Government has rescued a hiker injured on the Gracioseros trail, in the Risco de Famara, as reported by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred shortly before eight in the morning, when Cecoes received an alert reporting the fall of a hiker in a difficult to access place in that area.
A GES helicopter rescued the affected, a 38-year-old male, and transferred him to Lanzarote Airport. There, an ambulance from the SUC took charge of his assistance and transfer to the hospital as he presented a trauma to one leg.
Firefighters and Civil Protection collaborated with the rescue of the affected, and the Local Police collaborated with the intervening resources.
