The fall of a power cable on the Highway causes large retentions

Local Police, Civil Guard and the Emergency Consortium agents have moved to the scene

A power cable falls on the Lanzarote Highway

The fall of a power cable this Sunday has caused a large retention on the Airport Highway, according to the Emergency Consortium.

The incident took place at 2:30 p.m. on the LZ-2 at the height of Indelasa in the direction of Arrecife. Local Police, Civil Guard, Cabildo Road Service, Unelco technicians and firefighters have moved to the scene.

Police officers had to divert traffic and organize it while firefighters carried out their work. The tasks have been extended for more than three hours. 

The firefighters raised the cable with the ladder, to facilitate traffic, until the arrival of the UNELCO technicians. Subsequently, and in accordance with them, they proceeded to bridle the loose braid with another that had the same direction.

More than three hours of work to replace the fallen cable
