The collision between a car and an articulated truck has caused major traffic jams on the roads of southern Lanzarote this Friday. According to CECOES, the accident occurred on the LZ-40 this Friday at 2:20 p.m. and a man was moderately injured.

After being alerted by CECOES, agents of the Local Police, the Civil Guard and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service have traveled to the scene.
The medical personnel has assisted the injured man, who presented a trauma to an arm, and after being stabilized, he has been transferred to the Molina Orosa hospital in a medicalized ambulance.
The agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police have been in charge of regulating traffic in the area and have closed access to the road from both the south and Arrecife.
According to La Voz, traffic has been opened in both directions on the road towards Puerto del Carmen at around 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
