The Civil Guard has launched an investigation to locate the thieves who on the morning of Friday, August 25, stole a car and crashed it into an ATM in the El Pueblo shopping center in the Las Coloradas area in Playa Blanca.
According to investigation sources, the thieves stole the keys to a rental car by entering a vacation home where tourists were staying, a family that was on vacation on the island.
Both the family and the car rental company have filed a complaint for the theft and damage to the vehicle. The bank in charge of the ATM has also reported the damage caused after the incident.
The Civil Guard has carried out the first investigations to verify the damage caused. And at the moment they are trying to identify the perpetrators of the robbery and clarify the reasons why it was carried out.
In addition, it is still unknown whether the crash into the ATM was intentional or accidental.
