The Civil Guard seized 56 marijuana plants from a house in Villa de Teguise last Friday. The resident of the house, a 39-year-old man, was arrested in this operation, according to the press office of the Civil Guard in Las Palmas, confirming and providing new data on the news reported this Monday by La Voz de Lanzarote.

On August 21, agents began an investigation after learning that supposedly in a house in Teguise "there could be a marijuana plantation". Once the house was located, last Friday, under judicial order, the entry and search of the house was carried out.

This operation resulted in the discovery on the roof of "a marijuana plantation". Thus, the Civil Guard proceeded to seize 56 plants with an approximate weight of 3 kilos and 800 grams.

In addition, the agents found a "sprayer for watering it, fluorescent lamps for lighting and adjusting the temperature, and 650 euros in cash". For such events, the resident of the house, whose initials correspond to J.A.Z., 39 years old, resident of the town of Teguise, was arrested. He was arrested for an alleged drug trafficking crime.

The detainee and the seized effects were made available to the Arrecife Courts of Instruction.
