The body found last Friday in the Caleta del Mariscaderola, in the Las Malvas area of Tinajo, has still not been identified. This has been confirmed to La Voz by the Civil Guard, who point out that, after the autopsy, the cause of death could not be determined either. What has been determined is that the deceased was "black" and that, due to his condition, the body had been "two or three days in the sea."
Regarding the fact that it may be an immigrant traveling in a small boat, as pointed out by the mayor of Tinajo, the Civil Guard has indicated that "there are no indications" that this is the case, since "there have been no alerts of the arrival of any small boat." However, it could come from a boat that arrived on the island without being detected.
The Civil Guard has pointed out that there are no alerts of missing persons either, although they have specified that "no hypothesis is ruled out", considering, among others, that it may be someone who fell from a boat.
To achieve the identification of the body, a necrodactilar test will be performed, as well as DNA samples will be taken. This will help, according to the Civil Guard, to carry out "the appropriate procedures with Interpol to be able to know their identity."
