The Security and Emergencies Consortium of Lanzarote intervened on Monday night in the rescue of an injured paraglider in the scattered area of Las Laderas, in the municipality of Teguise.
According to the information provided, the alert was received through CECOES at 20:42 hours, at which time the accident was alerted. Personnel from the Central Park (Romeo 1) moved to the scene, activated in a level 2 service.
Upon their arrival, the emergency teams were guided by colleagues of the injured person, along with agents of the Local Police, to the exact spot where the injured person was, a 31-year-old male of Spanish nationality. In parallel, the Local Police went to the LZ-30 to facilitate the access of the medicalized ambulance to the area.
The firefighters proceeded to immobilize the affected person on a caving stretcher and, with the collaboration of those present, transferred him to the ambulance. Once there, the health personnel carried out their assessment and, after being transferred to a vacuum mattress, his evacuation to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital was carried out.
