A driver was injured after leaving the roadway and overturning in Costa Teguise, as reported by the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium.
The accident took place around 00:50 hours this Sunday, March 29, on Las Palmeras Avenue in the tourist town. After being alerted by CEOES, agents of the Civil Guard, an ambulance from the Canarian Emergency Service, and firefighters moved to the scene.
The healthcare personnel took charge of the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. For their part, the emergency services placed the car back on its wheels, disconnected the battery to avoid electrical risks and cleaned the roadway using sepiolite and water to remove remains of fuel or fluids that could represent a danger.
The police officers regulated the traffic and made the corresponding report.
