This Wednesday, October 8, an incident was recorded in a home in Arrecife, following the appearance of smoke and small explosions inside. The event mobilized personnel from the Lanzarote Consortium of Security and Emergencies, who went to the scene alerted by CECOES 1-1-2.

According to Enrique Espinosa, head of the Consortium, it was a possible fire in the home of a person with mental health issues who was not cooperating to open the door. Upon the arrival of the firefighters, the Local Police were already at the residence and had managed to extinguish the flames.

The fire, which was eventually reduced to two localized outbreaks—one in the bathroom and the other in the living room—caused no personal or material damage. Paramedics attended to the affected neighbor at the scene.

Once the dwelling was secured and it was verified that there was no risk, the emergency teams concluded the service.
