Several flights that had their departures scheduled from Lanzarote Airport this Thursday have suffered delays of several hours. As confirmed by Aena sources to La Voz, this is due to the storm that is hitting the Iberian Peninsula.

The most serious cases are those of flights VLG3281 and IB5282 of the companies Vueling and Iberia that were to depart from the César Manrique aerodrome to Bilbao at 09.20 in the morning and will finally depart at 15.00 in the afternoon.

Not only flights to the north of the Iberian Peninsula have been affected, but also international routes. The EasyJeat flight EZY8122 to London Gatwick will not depart until 15.59 this Thursday, although the departure was scheduled for 12.45. The same will happen with the trip to Manchester by Ryanair, scheduled for 12.50 and postponed until 15.35.

Not only have departures from the island been affected, but also flights scheduled to land on the island have been delayed. This is the case of the Tui crossings that departed at 10.00 in the morning from the cities of Birmingham, Bristol or London Luton that, in this case, did not depart until after 14.00. The same happened with another EasyJet flight that was scheduled to land at 11.55 and will not arrive in Lanzarote until 15.24.
