"It had a security door, security cameras and was guarded by two dogs of a breed classified as potentially dangerous, which had to be removed by the municipal services of the City Council to be able to access the house." This is how the Civil Guard describes the panorama they found in a house in Tías, where last Thursday the 4th they dismantled a marijuana plantation.

Although the operation and arrests had already transpired, the Civil Guard has now officially reported, giving details and images of this intervention. In a statement, the agents explain that the investigation began on the same morning of December 4, when an agent of the Local Police of Tías observed two people, a man and a woman, "taking out some bags in suspicious attitude from a house".

Just at the moment in which they were going to be identified by the agent, "the woman ran out and took refuge in the house". Afterwards, according to the police account, they verified that in the bags "there were remains of marijuana plants and chemical components for their cultivation and elaboration".

For all this, the Local Police informed the Civil Guard of these facts, thus initiating a joint operation to guard the building until obtaining the appropriate judicial order for entry and search.

Subsequently and with the respective judicial authorization, a search was carried out in the house, verifying that it was a house with a warehouse-type structure, where it housed all the elements for the elaboration and cultivation of marijuana, with ventilation and lighting for this purpose and with an irrigation system with chemically treated water.

In the registry, 122 Cannabis Sativa plants were seized together with 67 packages with buds already prepared and ready for distribution or consumption, which together with the plants have a total weight of 45 kilos and 300 grams. The agents also found 170 grams of hashish, two "simulated revolver-type weapons", 11 mobile phones, a fake bill reader and a night vision device, as well as utensils, herbicides and special fertilizers for cultivation.

Once the search was completed, G.W.S., G.R.H., and K.A.G. were arrested for being the alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health. The first two are men and the third is a woman, all of them of foreign nationality and aged between 48 and 56 years.

The detainees, together with the drug and the effects seized, were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority of the corresponding Arrecife Duty Court.
