A fire originated by some works in the ventilation duct of the Hotel Alexandre Teguise Playa caused great concern this Saturday among its guests, according to the Emergency Consortium.

According to what has been explained by the Consortium, the fire originated from a grinder they were using to change the ventilation duct of the establishment, which caused the remains to ignite and cause a large amount of smoke.

Initially, the hotel director proposed evacuating the hotel, but when the firefighters arrived they observed that it was not necessary.

The personnel went up to the seventh floor and used water and foam to be able to extinguish the flames and cool down the area, although from the Emergency Consortium they assure that at no time was there danger for the guests.
