A sailboat of approximately 12.75 meters in length ran aground during the early hours of this Monday, September 22, in the Los Cocoteros area, in Guatiza. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. and, fortunately, the two occupants who were traveling on board managed to leave the boat on their own means and are in good condition.
According to initial reports, the sailboat was carrying diesel, so once dawn breaks, emergency services will travel to the site to assess possible environmental risks and check the condition of the fuel.
