The Local Police of Teguise arrested last Thursday two men in Costa Teguise, after being caught accessing several commercial establishments.
The intervention began following the activation of the alarm of one of the affected premises and the alert from several neighbors, who warned of the suspicious presence of the individuals in the area. A police unit composed of four officers was dispatched to the scene.
Once at the scene, the officers managed to locate and identify those involved, proceeding to their arrest and controlling the situation in a short period of time, without any incidents of greater severity being recorded.
The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, praised the police action and stressed that “the speed and effectiveness of the officers has been key to resolving the situation and restoring calm to residents and merchants.” Likewise, she highlighted the continuous work carried out by the Local Police to guarantee security and coexistence, especially in areas of high tourist and commercial activity such as Costa Teguise.
In the same vein, the Local Police councilor, Ginés González, emphasized the importance of the coordination and professionalism of the force, pointing out that the City Council continues reinforcing security resources to offer an effective response to this type of incidents.
