The rain that fell in the early hours of this Saturday has caused a landslide of stones on the Lz-10 road that connects Los Valles with the town of Haría.
The most affected area is the one near the Los Helechos restaurant and has forced the road to be closed.
Technicians from the Public Works area of the Lanzarote Council and operators from the Roads service have acted in the area with the utmost speed to carry out the cleaning and reconditioning of this road, under the supervision of the area's councillor Jacobo Medina, who also travelled to the area.
"We are going to act, immediately, in seven different points of risk of landslides on this road", says Medina, "and, later, the possibility of reopening this road to traffic tomorrow Sunday will be assessed."
The councillor also announces that "next Tuesday a team of geologists will assess the current state of this road, since the intention of the Council is to act, through the urgent route, to intervene and definitively condition this road and thus guarantee the safety of drivers, before a misfortune occurs."

According to the Emergency Consortium, 24 liters per square meter fell in Haría in the last 24 hours.

Other actions
The rains, which reached 24 liters per square meter in Haría this morning, have also affected, to a lesser extent, other roads on the island.
Since the early hours of this Saturday, the Roads service, in coordination with the Security and Emergency Consortium, has also been working on other island roads such as the El Mirador del Río road and in Famara, where the accumulated water has been drained.
Several teams will continue working during today to clean the road due to the dragging of land on various roads, especially in the northern part of the island.
