A 70-year-old woman of German nationality had to be rescued this Sunday, February 8, after suffering a fall while hiking in the Curbelo ravine, in the Tabayesco area, within the municipality of HaríaAccording to the Lanzarote Security and Emergencies Consortium, the alert was received at 11:47 AM via CECOES, warning of the presence of an injured person in a difficult-to-access area. Emergency personnel moved to the location, with the collaboration of the Local Police, who facilitated the exact location of the affected person and accompanied the teams to the incident point
Once at the scene, emergency services confirmed that the woman presented a possible ankle sprain, so they proceeded to immobilize the joint with a splint to ensure a safe evacuation.
Subsequently, the hiker was evacuated by helicopter to the airport, from where she was transferred by an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) to the Dr. José Molina Orosa Hospital, for a more exhaustive medical evaluation
