The prisoner who escaped from the Tahíche Penitentiary Center two weeks ago has already been arrested by the Civil Guard and this Tuesday he was admitted back into prison, as sources from the center have confirmed to La Voz. In addition, they point out that this Wednesday, the day after returning to prison, the inmate allegedly participated in a fight with other inmates.
The escape occurred last Tuesday, April 2, taking advantage of the fact that he was in an area with less security, as he was enjoying the third degree of penitentiary. In fact, he only went to prison to sleep and was even about to finish serving his sentence, but he would have decided to escape upon learning that another final sentence had fallen against him that was already going to be executed.
As penitentiary sources pointed out at the time, a protocol is activated for these cases, but in this case it was not done because that new sentence was not notified to the officials. Thus, the inmate was in the Social Insertion Center and took the opportunity to flee by jumping over a wall, in a place where there is an area of trees that make vision difficult.
