The General Directorate of Emergencies of the Canary Islands Government has deactivated the pre-alert for coastal phenomena that affected Lanzarote and the rest of the archipelago since last July 31st.
Specifically, based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) and other available sources and in application of the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA), the regional Executive considers the pre-alert situation in all the islands to be over.
Looking ahead to this Tuesday, Aemet expects intervals of strong wind in the usual areas of trade wind acceleration in the first half of the day. In addition to cloudy skies to the north of Lanzarote and opening to clear skies in the central hours. Added to this is the low probability of weak and occasional drizzle in the last hours of the day.
