One person was injured after the vehicle they were traveling in collided with another car that was parked. The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. this Friday, March 17, on the Matagorda road in Puerto del Carmen.
Once alerted by the CECOES, the Boluntis (volunteer firefighters from Tías), Local Police, Civil Protection and an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service went to the scene.
One of the occupants had whiplash and chest pressure, so the firefighters put a neck brace on him and later, with the indications of the paramedics, they removed him from the car on a stretcher, took him to the ambulance for evacuation to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
In addition, the Boluntis personnel disconnected the car's battery and cleaned the road.
