Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium have put out the flames of several container fires in Arrecife during the first hour of this Friday morning.
After being informed by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES), the firefighters went after 06.00 in the morning to La Carmen street and extinguished the fire of a cardboard recycling container.
In this case, they had to overturn the cardboard from inside the container to put out the flames. After the incident, it was damaged but operational.
Then, they had to move to La Niña street, also in the capital, and extinguished the fire of two other containers, this time of organic waste and another of plastic recycling, which were burning in their entirety. On this occasion, the containers were unusable.
