The firefighters have rescued this Thursday a person who fell in a construction site where they were working on Princesa Ico street in Playa Honda, according to what the Emergency Consortium has reported.
After receiving a call alerting of the incident that occurred around 07:55 hours, the personnel have moved to the scene with two vehicles, Romeo 1 and Eco 1. At the scene, agents of the Local Police of San Bartolomé were already present, who enabled the area so that the firefighters could access with the vehicles.
The worker had fallen into a pit about four meters deep, so the personnel descended to him for his assessment. Already next to the injured person, they checked that the accident had occurred at a low height and that the person had pain in the right ankle, which was inflamed, and in the back. Likewise, they also checked his saturation.
Next, the firefighters immobilized the injured person's cervical area and the affected limb with the appropriate material. Finally, they evacuated him by means of a stretcher with the help of the aerial ladder, to the stretcher of the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) to be transferred to the José Molina Orosa Hospital.
This work accident occurs after the other one that happened last Monday in Arrecife where a worker was injured with a serious blow to the back in a building under construction.
