The La Santa shelter has suffered a new fire. The fire occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. this Saturday the 13th in a cleaning room of the center, according to the Emergency Consortium.
After being alerted by the CECOES, agents of the Civil Guard, Local Police and firefighters have moved to the scene. When the emergency teams arrived, the fire was almost extinguished, only some remains of embers remained. The fire has affected a shelf, cleaning products, some belongings and a window that had broken glass.
Five days ago, the center suffered another fire that forced the evacuation of around 60 migrant minors during the early morning. Two minors had to be evacuated to Molina Orosa for smoke inhalation.
