Several vehicles have suffered an accident on the LZ-2 road between Playa Honda and Arrecife. The accident occurred around 9.32 am this Wednesday and involves the drivers of three cars.
The crash occurred in a southerly direction, towards Playa Blanca. According to the Security and Emergency Consortium, the incident took place near El Cable. It is a rear-end collision, where the driver of the middle vehicle was trapped between two other cars and needed firefighters to extricate her and get her out. To do this, they had to cut the roof of the car with hydraulic shears. Subsequently, the firefighters proceeded to disconnect batteries and rehabilitate the road by cleaning the road.
A 41-year-old woman had to be transferred in a basic life support ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital with minor injuries. We proceeded to stabilize the car where the injured woman was, to carry out the extraction, which together with the health personnel, was mobilized with a rescue board to the ambulance.
The Civil Guard, who directed traffic and made the report, a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service and the firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium, were transferred to the scene.
This multiple accident has generated a retention that now reaches Arrecife.
