Maritime Rescue, through Salvamar Urania, has rescued a precarious boat with around 57 migrants on board in waters near Lanzarote.
According to the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, the boat was 12 nautical miles from the island and was intercepted at 01.55 hours on Monday morning. The Salvamar arrived at the Port of Arrecife at 02.50 hours in the morning.
According to the Red Cross, they attended to the 57 people at the foot of the port. Of these, none had to be transferred to health centers for different pathologies.
