The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Corralejo, in collaboration with the Main Post of Yaiza, arrested on March 7 in Fuerteventura a 35-year-old man, with initials D.M.G and with multiple police records against property - as alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force in a house in the Lanzarote town of Uga.
The Civil Guard agents of Yaiza identified during the afternoon of the aforementioned day 7 to D.M.G. at the Playa Blanca dock, in the boarding of one of the regular line boats that connects both islands. However, although they cautiously seized the effects (telephones and cameras, among others) that he was carrying when raising the suspicions of the agents given his police record for crimes against property and not giving D.M.G. any convincing reason about the origin of the effects, the agents could not arrest him at that time.
However, according to the Benemérita, the agents of the Civil Guard of Yaiza began to compare the complaints of previous days about possible robberies in homes to verify if the seized objects came from any of them. In this way, they verified that the effects coincided with a recent robbery in a home in the town of Uga, quickly coordinating with the agents of the Civil Guard of the Main Post of Corralejo, who arrested D.M.G. as alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with force in things after disembarking in Fuerteventura.
The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the corresponding Court, in guard functions, of the town of Puerto del Rosario.
