Agents of the National Police have arrested, thanks to citizen collaboration in the municipality of Arrecife, J.R.C.A., a 52-year-old man with 40 police records, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health. Neighborhood complaints uncovered a drug sales point in a squat in the capital of Lanzarote, where an individual was arrested in possession of various narcotic substances and psychotropic drugs.
The events were triggered after complaints from residents of the municipality of Arrecife, who had observed how numerous drug addicts accessed the interior of a squat located on a nearby street with the intention of consuming narcotic substances.
After a surveillance device for several days, the police agents located in the place an individual in possession of 18 crack rocks, several packages containing heroin, 28 grams of hashish and various psychotropic drugs, in addition to 207 euros in cash.
He was allegedly in charge of distributing the drug among the individuals who accessed the aforementioned house, who also consumed it inside. For all these reasons, the police officers proceeded to arrest him as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by agents of the Local Citizen Security Brigade of the Arrecife Police Station.
