Agents of the Local Police of Arrecife have arrested a 35-year-old man for sexually assaulting a young woman at a concert in the capital. The events took place during the early hours of Saturday, October 7. When police officers from the Citizen Security and Intervention Unit arrested the alleged aggressor, who had no prior criminal record for crimes of the same nature.
The agents, who were providing surveillance service at the event, were alerted to a sexual assault, where the victim, under an anxiety attack, told the agents that while she was dancing, she noticed that an individual was constantly rubbing against her, initially thinking that he was trying to steal from her, but immediately realizing that this person had ejaculated on her.
The agents, after obtaining a detailed description of the individual and after carrying out a search device for the man, managed to locate him, which is why they proceeded to his arrest.
On the other hand, the victim was accompanied to a health center due to the severe anxiety crisis she was suffering, and later transferred to police facilities where she filed the corresponding complaint for the events that occurred.
The Penal Code establishes prison sentences of one to four years as responsible for sexual assault to anyone who performs any act that violates the sexual freedom of another person without their consent.
