National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested a man, 27 years old, with a police record, as the perpetrator of two crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation. After being brought to justice, the judge ordered his imprisonment.
As La Voz already published, the events occurred early in the morning of February 5, when the detainee tried in the first instance to rob a gas station located in the capital of Lanzarote, brandishing a blunt object similar to a defense, to try to steal the collection.
A customer who was in the place was able to alert the gas station employees who managed to close the doors of the establishment in time and prevent the robbery by not allowing the arrested person to access the interior of the same.
Immediately after the criminal failed in his purpose, he went to a nearby pharmacy where this time he managed to access its interior, and after intimidating the staff by hitting the furniture with the object he was carrying, he reached the cash register without finding any type of opposition, although finally, given the impossibility of opening it and stealing the collection, he ended up fleeing the place.
The police investigation managed to identify the perpetrator within a few hours, and arrest him the following day.
