The Animal Protection and Environment Unit of the Local Police of Arrecife, with the support of group III of the police force, have rescued three kittens from an abandoned house in Arrecife this Tuesday, one of which had fallen into a cistern and "wouldn't stop meowing."
The rescue occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m., after receiving an alert from a citizen. For their rescue, the Local Police requested permission from the owner to access the house, which was walled up and had bars on the windows.
In addition, the agents had citizen collaboration. And it is that, from the parking lot of Fajardo street they were provided with a ladder and a worker from a nearby management office left them a backpack where they could transport the animals.
According to the agent of the Animal Protection and Environment Unit of the Local Police of Arrecife, Fran Godoy, the mother of the kittens was also in the house, but she ran away, so she could not be caught. The animal protector Sara has taken care of the three rescued cats.
