This Sunday, July 27, agents of the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote intervened in the Plaza del Pueblo Marinero, in Costa Teguise, after being alerted by the CECOES about a lamppost that presented a risk of falling.
Upon arrival, and with the collaboration of the Local Police, the emergency services accessed the area where the structure was located, anchored to a garden wall that was in very poor condition. An operator had already disconnected it from the electrical grid, so the troops removed the lamppost by cutting the base screws and using an impact wrench.
The lamppost was deposited inside the garden, and the entire affected perimeter was duly signposted with barricade tape and cones, due to the poor condition of the wall.
