An inmate of the Tahíche prison center has been found dead in his cell on the morning of this Saturday, February 3, as reported by the trade union section of ACAIP (Association of Corps of the Penitentiary Institutions Administration).
In a statement, the trade union section explains that the events took place at around 8 in the morning in module number four of the prison, during the morning count that is done every day.
"He was alone in the cell, so the death can only be due to natural causes or overdose," ACAIP points out. Finally, they recall that it is the second death in just two months, the previous one occurred on December 8.
