An inmate of the Tahíche penitentiary center has been found dead in his cell on the morning of this Friday, December 8, as reported by the union section of ACAIP (Association of Bodies of the Administration of Penitentiary Institutions).
In a statement, the union section explains that the events took place in module number 2 of the prison, the respect module, during the morning count that is done every day.
"The body does not present signs of violence, so its death is presumably due to natural causes," they point out from ACAIP.
