New work accident in Lanzarote. A worker has been injured after falling from about three meters high at the construction site where he was working.
The incident took place around 09:33 this Saturday, August 22, on La Calera street in the tourist town of Playa Blanca.
After being alerted by the CECOES, agents of the Guardia Civil, Local Police, an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service, and the Emergency Consortium were dispatched.
Firefighters had to intervene as the worker had fallen from about three meters from the upper floor of the construction site and it was impossible to get him down by stairs. Emergency personnel placed him on a vacuum mattress and transferred him to the ground with the help of the aerial ladder.
He was subsequently transferred to the ambulance and was evacuated to the Dr. José Molina Orosa hospital.
Police officers collaborated in the rescue efforts.
