A man was seriously injured this Thursday morning after falling inside one of the well-known "skeletons" of Costa Teguise.

The incident occurred on Palmeras Avenue, around 10:28 a.m., according to the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium.

When the personnel from the Central Fire Station arrived, the injured man was being attended to by a doctor when he went into cardiorespiratory arrest. The doctor initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers, managing to revive him within a minute. Subsequently, oxygen was administered and the extremities were immobilized with splints before placing him on a spinal board for transfer by ambulance of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) to Molina Orosa.

After stabilizing him, the area was cleaned and the service was concluded.
