A man was injured after crashing his van into the canopy of a bus stop in Mala. The accident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. this Saturday, February 11, on Villa Nueva Street in the town.
Once alerted by the CECOES, agents of the Local Police, Civil Guard, the Emergency Consortium and an ambulance of the Canary Emergency Service moved to the site.
The health personnel assisted the driver and once stabilized, they transferred him by ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The firefighters removed the vehicle that was in the middle of the road with the help of a winch. Later they removed the unstable structural elements of the bus stop canopy and cleaned the sidewalk of glass and debris.
Finally, they marked the bus stop with tape for the safety of citizens.
