A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured this Thursday after being hit by a vehicle while riding a scooter near the Mácher gas station.

The accident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m., when CECOES was alerted. Local Police officers, a doctor and a nurse from Primary Care, and two ambulances, one basic life support and one medicalized, from the Canary Emergency Service were dispatched to the scene.

Once at the scene, the medical personnel assisted the affected person, who presented with a severe head injury. Initially, the young man had gone into cardiorespiratory arrest, so advanced resuscitation maneuvers were performed and they were able to reverse the situation. After being stabilized, he was transferred in critical condition to the Molina Orosa Hospital.

For its part, the Local Police has been in charge of carrying out the corresponding report.
