Hiker rescued after accident on Montaña Roja

The Security and Emergency Consortium collaborated with SUC medical personnel to evacuate an injured person from a hard-to-reach area in Playa Blanca

This Thursday, December 25th at 1:17 PM, a person suffered an ankle injury while hiking on Montaña Roja, in Playa Blanca. The accident occurred on the ascent trail, in an area of difficult access, which required the intervention of the Security and Emergency Consortium (CSE).

According to the CSE report, healthcare workers from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) were at the scene attending to the injured person, who had suffered an ankle fracture. The SUC doctor proceeded to immobilize the injury and administer medication, but due to the person's location, it was necessary to request the collaboration of emergency personnel to transport her.The rescue team transported the hiker on a stretcher to the ambulance, where she was secured and taken to the hospital for further medical attention

The service was concluded once the CSE reported that the patient was safe inside the ambulance, en route to Molina Orosa Hospital.
