A young man from Mácher (Tías) allegedly forced the glass door of a vacation home in Órzola and entered the apartment. The events occurred during the morning of last Tuesday, when the 22-year-old man entered this tourist apartment, used the towels and water that were prepared for some clients and lay down on the sofa in the house while smoking a "joint".
The owners of the property realized what was happening when the owner arrived at the house around 1 p.m. and saw that there was someone inside. She had the key ready to hand it over to the tourists, when she realized that there was already someone inside the house. "We had a reservation at 3 p.m., but luckily the tenants were delayed a little longer and arrived around 4 p.m.," her husband narrates in statements to La Voz de Lanzarote.
When discovered by the owner, the young man first pretended to be a foreigner and began to speak in English. "My friend Jack made a reservation," he then defended himself. When the woman left the house to call her husband and tell him what was happening, the young man ran away from the place. According to the owner's testimony, he arrived in time to grab the alleged culprit and alert the Local Police and the Civil Guard. Agents from both bodies went to the place and identified the young man.
