A man of about 50 years of age has been evacuated by helicopter from La Graciosa, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES).
The incident took place around 1:06 PM this Monday, August 17, on Las Concha beach when the affected person was rescued from the water after suffering a wave impact.
After receiving the alert, Primary Care health personnel, a basic life support ambulance from the SUC, the helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES), and the Emergency Consortium were dispatched.
Once at the scene, health personnel assisted and stabilized the affected person who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented a serious trauma.
After being transferred to the Consortium's helipad in Arrecife, he was transferred by a SUC medicalized ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
Firefighters from the Security Consortium collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources both in La Graciosa and in Lanzarote.
