The GES helicopter has rescued a 20-year-old who was in distress in the sea in the area of Los Charcones in Playa Blanca, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center. The affected individual had moderate injuries and was transferred by medical ambulance to the Molina Orosa hospital.The event took place around 13:00 this Saturday, November 1, when CECOES was informed that a person was in distress about 200 meters from the coast in the area near the Pechiguera Lighthouse in the south of the island
Local Police agents, the GES helicopter, a GES boat, firefighters, and a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service have been dispatched to the scene.
The GES helicopter has rescued the young man from the sea and taken him to the Emergency Consortium, where an SUC ambulance has taken him to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
